What a wonderful day it was at camp on Monday, May 25, 2015! We couldn’t have asked for better weather – warm temperatures, balmy breezes, and no rain.

The chapel was filled for the 11:00 a.m. service. There were patriotic songs to sing, specially prepared instrumental and vocal groups, a patriotic reading, recognition of servicemen and veterans, and a message from God’s Word from Pastor Joel McAllister.

After the chapel service, around 275 people met in Ashbrook Hall for a picnic/potluck meal. Hamburgers and hot dogs were grilled and enjoyed along with many different side dishes, salads, and desserts.

Afternoon activities included games for the children and the 4th annual 5K Fun Run/Walk. Guests at the camp enjoyed boating, fishing, swimming, shooting at the rifle and archery ranges, basketball, snacks from the camp store, tractor/train rides, and visiting with friends from around the state and beyond.

We thank the Lord for the offering received on Memorial Day of over $3000.00 to go towards youth camper scholarships and to provide theme T-shirts for our staff.
