Dr. Bruce Meyer
Dr. Bruce Meyer and his wife, Kathy, attend Calvary Baptist Church in Watertown. Dr. Meyer is a deacon and Adult Bible Fellowship teacher, as well as a choir member. The Meyers have four children—Ryan, Stephen, Alyssa, and Seth. Dr. Meyer loves woodworking, reading, biking, and prestidigitation (“quick-fingeredness,” a characteristic trait of Dr. Meyer’s, recognized by all of his students). He loves pizza and vacationing in Florida and Virginia Beach. He heartily cheers for the MBU Sabercats and was one of the first instigators of the term “snarly” in correlation with Maranatha’s new mascot.
Dr. Meyer began teaching at Maranatha in 2002. He has prior experience as pastor and assistant pastor, Christian school Bible teacher, Christian school administrator, and biblical counselor. He is the author and presenter of the Upstream Seminar, a sexual purity seminar for men, and he presents this seminar at local churches and men’s retreats. Dr. Meyer is the Biblical Counseling Program Coordinator at Maranatha.
